Geert Jan Prins is working as the team leader for this water programme which is implemented by an international consortium led by Mott MacDonald and including VNG International and SNV Netherlands Development Organisation. The programme is funded for five years by the Dutch government. The Water for Lakes Program aims to improve access to clean drinking water for 800,000 people, while increasing water resources for livestock, agriculture and fisheries. At the same time, a €31.8 million portfolio for investment projects will be formulated to stimulate economic development in the region (agriculture, fisheries and livestock) and improve living conditions in a sustainable way.
